Always when I think or dream about the summer season, I have a feel of the fresh and cool linen touch to my body.
I believe that there have no more appropriate fabric for the summer than linen and this is not accidentally. The linen is one of the most old fabrics.
The Linen industry was established by ancient Egyptians, who prized the fabric for its purity and breathability in their desert climate. They liked it so much that when King Tut’s tomb was opened, his Linen curtains were discovered inside and still intact. Later, in the 17th century, Ireland became a hub of luxury Linen production, known particularly for intricate jacquard and lace patterns favored by the upper class.
Today's linen fabric is much more soft and cool than in the past. It has initial texture, it wrinkle very easy, but on linen clothes the wrinkles look classy and casual.
You can wear linen clothing in the office, dates, free time, etc. It is always trendy and stylish. Since the linen is totally not elastic, the things made by this fabric must be very loose and relax, which make such kind of garments much more good for the hot season.
The linen is also very good for hand paintes garments, again because it's texture. I usually do calligraphy or abstract paints.
